Michael performs his original music under his full name Michael Laman Thomas. He released his first solo album Coloured Sands is available on all streaming services. Michael performs his original music at local festivals including the Tablelands Folk Festival and the Cairns Festival and has performed at Woodford Folk Festival. Michael was signed to Universal Music for 4 years as a recording artist. During that time he co-wrote the album "Tall Pop Syndrome" with Australian act Glam Babes including 2 charted singles.
His songs have been covered by a number of local and international artists. Michael wrote and recorded the album "Room Next Door" with Danish artist Yuki. He also wrote and released the album "Moosehead" with his popular Brisbane based duo Brothers Gibson. His song Ant Song was recorded by local artist Eagle (Omid Master) on his album "Better Late Than Never".
Michael is passionate about teaching others to compose and record music. He has produced hundreds of songs with school aged youth across Australia, a number of which have received radio air-play and critical acclaim.
He facilitated the composition, production and release of an album "On the Road to Life" with the True Tones, a group of 20 men living with mental health challenges on the Gold Coast.
